The Do-It-Yourself kit will allow you to construct a catch can system for your automobile, pick up truck, sport utility vehicle, jet ski, snowmobile, and other vehicles. You may use the kit to customize a high-quality CCG Billet catch can for your vehicle once you've determined the location of the PCV valve.
The CCG Universal Aerospace Racing Billet Catch Can Kit was created to eliminate oil from entering your intake by engine blow-by, which channels oil and debris into the direct air stream, from the valve train. This is a prevalent issue on both brand new performance engines and even more so in older combustion engines that create more blow by due to wear and tear. The most typical problem is smoke coming from the vehicle's tailpipe or on start-up during normal operation. The throttle body controls your main air stream and has a breathing tube that connects it to the crankcase. Oil enters the air tract when the vacuum created by the incoming airstream and positive pressure in the crankcase combine to push oil into the air tract. This is how every vehicle and engine is constructed to help eliminate pressure build-up in your engine's bottom end, allowing for smoother piston movement.
The CCG catch can features a containment and separation system that forces all the debris to be captured and contained in the filter, while still allowing airflow while maintaining the full functionality of the breather system. This long awaited catch can is one of the most needed items in the late model performance world.
We've had a lot of customers install our new Aerospace Mustang Billet Catch Can and report back on the idle quality and vehicle performance. Oil in the intake reduces the octane of your fuel, which can cause detonation, especially in forced induction applications e.g. turbo, supercharger and nitrous.
